Should you go 24/7?
Coach Rachel Primo considers how frequently you should be taking on 24-hour fasts.
Ready for May’s Group Fast?
This month’s fast starts next Monday – get on board!
The IDM Membership Community Group Fast (ZornFast) is coming up soon. The Group Fast begins Monday, May 13 and continues through Sunday, May 19 – but you don’t need to fast all seven days. You can choose any type of fast that suits you. Sign up on the Group Fast page and get ready!
Fasts are led by coach Brenda Zorn – who posts a video update each day, offering tips and tricks to help you get through. You can also connect with her and the rest of the IDM community on the IDM Forum, or post a comment or question after signing up for the fast on the Group Fast dashboard. Support and motivate each other. We’re in this together!
Group Fasts are always the second Monday of the month through to the following Sunday.
What about the micronutrients?
When it comes to healthy living – eat the rainbow!
As their name suggests, micronutrients are trace elements that your body depends on to properly function. They help with everything from the workings of our immune system to energy production, and play a vital role in growth, bone health and many other things.
Micronutrients include minerals such as fluoride, sodium, iodine, copper and zinc, as well as vitamins from A to E, and K.
Our body doesn’t produce all the micronutrients it needs to properly function. So, that means we have to source them from the food we eat. It’s estimated that as many as 75% of Westerners don’t eat the required amount of micronutrients they need daily to maintain good health.
So, eat to optimize your micronutrient and carotenoid intake. Eat the rainbow.
